Download the result during the session

The safest time to save a Voxalike dub is immediately after the completed scene finishes rendering. Keep the game tab open and visible, wait for the final result controls, and use the provided download option before navigating away.

The browser assembles the result locally. A fast connection does not guarantee an instant export because the device still needs to process the scene, recordings, and any background track. Do not refresh the page while the result is being prepared.

Use a clear filename after download, for example:

voxalike-pack-title-2026-08-16-group-name.webm

Move the file from Downloads into the session folder, play it once outside the browser, and make a copy before editing or converting it.

What Recent Dubs can recover

Recent Dubs is a temporary safety net for completed multiplayer results. The official guide describes storage for up to two recent results, intended to remain available for roughly two hours.

Recovery requires:

  • the same browser and browser profile used for the session;
  • local site data still present;
  • the exact Dub Mod revision used in the room;
  • enough time remaining in the temporary window;
  • a result that reached completion before the page was lost.

It is not a cloud archive tied only to your login. Opening the account on another device does not transfer the local recordings and pack files needed to rebuild the video.

Recover a lost completed multiplayer dub

  1. Return to Voxalike in the same browser profile.
  2. Do not clear cookies, storage, or installed mods.
  3. Confirm the exact Dub Pack revision is still installed.
  4. Open Recent Dubs from the game menu.
  5. Choose the matching room result.
  6. Keep the tab visible while the browser renders it again.
  7. Download the WebM as soon as it becomes available.
  8. Play the saved file locally before closing the game.

Only two slots are retained, so starting more completed multiplayer sessions can replace an older entry before its approximate time window ends.

Why the exact mod revision matters

The recordings alone are not the full video. Voxalike also needs the scene and line structure from the package used in the room. If the pack was removed, replaced, or updated to different contents, the browser may no longer have what it needs to reconstruct that result.

Before updating or deleting a Workshop pack after a multiplayer night, open Recent Dubs and save anything important. Hosts who use local ZIP packages should keep an archive of every distributed revision until the group has exported its results.

If the result is missing

Work through these questions without changing storage:

  1. Are you in the same browser, profile, and device?
  2. Did the room reach a completed result, or did it fail during recording?
  3. Have two newer completed results replaced it?
  4. Has roughly two hours passed?
  5. Is the exact pack revision still installed?
  6. Did a cleanup tool or private-browsing session remove local data?

If the answer shows that the browser data or required package is gone, Recent Dubs cannot recreate information it no longer has. Do not install random packages with the same title; a matching name is not proof of matching contents.

If rendering appears stuck

Leave the tab in the foreground and give the browser time to assemble the file. Connect the device to power, close heavy background tabs, and avoid switching apps on mobile. Check that the browser has free disk space for a large temporary and downloaded file.

If nothing progresses, capture the pack title, revision, browser version, operating system, room mode, and approximate session time before reloading. Those details make a useful issue report. Reloading may be necessary, but it should come after preserving the context because it can change the page state you are diagnosing.

Convert WebM without losing the original

WebM is widely supported by modern browsers and players, but some editors or social platforms prefer MP4. Keep the original WebM, then convert a copy with a reputable local video tool. Check audio synchronization and resolution after conversion.

Conversion changes the container or encoding; it does not add permission to publish the scene or other players’ voices. Get consent from participants and respect the rights attached to the underlying pack before uploading a result publicly.

Host checklist for every multiplayer finale

  • Tell players not to close the room during final assembly.
  • Keep the tab visible until download controls appear.
  • Save the result immediately rather than relying on Recent Dubs.
  • Use a filename that identifies the pack, date, and group.
  • Play the local file once before anyone clears storage.
  • Obtain participant consent before public sharing.
  • Export older recent results before starting more completed rooms.

The two-slot recovery buffer is valuable, but a downloaded and tested local file is the only dependable handoff from the browser session.
