Current tracked version: v1.4.1
Voxalike v1.4.1 was posted on August 15, 2026. This wiki treats it as the current tracked public-alpha build as of August 16, 2026.
The update focuses on multiplayer pacing and reliability, results, backing audio, recording review, and Workshop synchronization. Because Voxalike is a browser game, reload the official site before diagnosing a missing option; an older cached tab may not reflect the newest interface.
What changed in v1.4.1
Parallel Race PVP
PVP gained Parallel Race, an optional format where players progress through the same full clip list rather than waiting through a strictly shared turn sequence. It is useful for larger groups that want less idle time. Turn Battle remains the better choice when the room wants to hear and react to every take together.
Score rebalancing
The score presentation was rebalanced. Compare results within the current build rather than treating a number from an older version as directly equivalent. Judge Mods still affect reveal presentation rather than rewriting the score logic.
Higher-quality multiplayer recording transfer
The release improves the quality path used when recordings move through a multiplayer session. Players should still use a stable connection, keep the room tab open, and wear headphones; transfer quality cannot repair a clipped or echoing source recording.
Background tracks
Current packs can use a background track so music or effects remain beneath the recorded dialogue. Mod creators should use a separate stem without the original spoken line, keep it below voice level, and distribute it only with appropriate rights.
Waveform review
The recording flow now provides a clearer waveform review. Use it with replay: the waveform can show that audio exists or is clipping, while listening tells you whether timing and delivery work.
Workshop sync refinements
Workshop synchronization was refined, especially around matching multiplayer content. The core storage rule remains important: a subscription follows the account, but playable files install in each browser or device.
v1.4.0: stage and Workshop redesign
Voxalike v1.4.0 was posted on August 14, 2026. It redesigned the stage and Workshop experience and introduced the Recent Dubs recovery route for completed multiplayer results.
For players, the lasting practical changes are:
- a reorganized stage and pack-browsing flow;
- clearer Workshop management;
- temporary access to a small number of recent completed multiplayer dubs;
- a stronger need to distinguish account subscription from browser-local installation.
Recent Dubs is limited rather than permanent storage. The official recovery guide describes up to two recent results for approximately two hours, with the same browser profile and exact mod revision still required.
Player impact by feature
| Feature | Introduced or emphasized | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Parallel Race | v1.4.1 | Choose it for faster PVP progression; use Turn Battle for shared viewing |
| Score rebalancing | v1.4.1 | Avoid direct score comparisons with older builds |
| Better recording transfer | v1.4.1 | Still capture clean source audio and keep the room stable |
| Background track | v1.4.1 | Mod creators should separate ambience from dialogue |
| Waveform review | v1.4.1 | Inspect the signal, then replay before accepting |
| Workshop sync refinements | v1.4.1 | Wait for the exact revision to install on every client |
| Recent Dubs | v1.4.0 | Download promptly; use recovery only as a temporary fallback |
| Stage/Workshop redesign | v1.4.0 | Expect older screenshots and instructions to look different |
After an update, check these five things
- Reload the official game and read the version shown by the current interface.
- Open Mods and allow Workshop synchronization to finish.
- Confirm multiplayer guests have the same pack revision.
- Run Mic Check before returning to a room.
- Save any Recent Dubs before removing or updating packages.
If a problem began directly after a release, record the game version, browser version, room format, pack title and revision, and exact step that fails. That is more useful than a screenshot with no session context.
